Some of them wont archive no matter what you do, and so you may be wasting your time. php websites are the ones with those really long "ugly urls" that look like nonsense, and web crawlers/archivers do not follow those links very well, error out. There is a tool called mod_rewrite which is used to shorten those "ugly urls", but most websites don't used it.

Robin, check out these websites:

I've already checked, Most of the webpages I submitted are in fact "Archivable" . Many were from [Insert Website Here], and while 100's of their pages are archived, 100's of similar pages that DON'T feature java or php have not been archived.

R,
Generally, website owners/webmasters will add their own site to IA just for peace of mind. You are the first person I've ever seen to take such initiative. Here are a few more links that you might enjoy.

Thanks. Since I'm stuck at home all day with a mental disability, I've decided to use my time for something contructive. And trust me, Many of the webpages I submitted will be of great historical importance in the future, and provide facinating insight into today's world. I've cut back on submitting, But I still submit archivable webpages when I find them. BTW, I have a blog, and I've submitted that to be archived, and trust me, it's pretty topical so it will be of some historic importance one day. Hell, I even make VHS tapes of home shopping programs, so people 50 years from now can see them!

I'm actually planning to become a Amateur movie maker, so I can capture footage of things which I consider inportant even if other people don't.

Note: I was told that if I find a site that isn't being archived, that I was allowed to submit it.

Wow, you're a remarkable person ;-)

Do you know Wikipedia? If you want to add something to the internet, maybe you could consider contributing something to that site. One the other hand, you're interests might be a bit too... specific for WP. (you really tape home shopping programs??)

I'm only gonna make a couple recordings of Home Shopping programs a year, just enough to provide an insight for those in the future. However, Many of my interests are more slightly more normal, such as 'Retro' Television, Video Games (I recently got a Wii), Commercial Flops (Like "The DuMont Network" and "New Coke") and the even 70's music (I have a small vinyl collection).
However, When I become interested in something, I might spend several hours a day researching. For example, a few days ago I was facinated by a band called "The Pickwick Poppers", and I read over 50 reviews of their albums.

I actually have obsessive compulsive disorder and autisim, which may explain my the strange way I act.
